System Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Upgrade client servers to incorporate the latest software releases.

• Transition legacy databases into updated database frameworks.

• Enhance customer satisfaction through effective support and adherence to contracted service level agreements.

• Collaborate with team members and internal Motorola Solutions teams to deliver customer service and technical assistance.

• Diagnose and resolve client issues effectively.

• Take ownership of customer concerns and drive solutions to completion.

• Provide assistance in high-security environments regulated by the U.S. Department of Justice CJIS Security Policy.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Over 2 years of experience in a technical customer support and/or technical business analysis position.

• Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux servers, including basic navigation and file structure in the Linux command line.

• Experience with SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL schema structures or similar object-relational database systems.

• Familiarity with nginx and Tomcat web services.

• Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure.

• Capability to troubleshoot application system issues involving hardware, networking, and third-party components.

• Ability to execute bash scripts and Windows executables/scripting.

• Experience in customer service/support roles.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities; adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Capacity to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.

• Preferred basic knowledge of the Motorola Flex software suite.

• Must successfully pass a comprehensive fingerprint background check for CJIS-regulated positions.

• Must be eligible to obtain background clearance as mandated by the government client.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
