System Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other Installation Technicians.

• Commission DAS equipment at client job sites.

• Diagnose issues in both new and existing DAS systems.

• Install rack, wall, and ceiling-mounted electronic DAS components.

• Connectorize 50 ohm RF cabling and conduct sweep tests.

• Execute RF coverage testing and optimization before and after construction.

• Carry out RF and cabling site surveys.

• Employ computer skills and IP interfaces with GUI programmable systems.

• Wire DC power plants and low-voltage circuits.

• Conduct RF cable sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.

• Complete job-related documentation and maintain accurate records.

• Keep both the customer and the company updated on installation progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, Technical Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required.

• Advanced experience in DAS installations is essential.

• Familiarity with commissioning and troubleshooting DAS wireless equipment.

• Experience with outdoor and indoor antennas, coaxial cables, fiber optic cables, CAT 5 cables, DC power cables, and related components.

• Understanding of NEC, NFPA 72, and 1221 standards.

• Capability to install fiber optic cables, with a strong grasp of DAS and related services.

• Ability to work at heights, including man lifts, scissor lifts, and rooftops while utilizing proper fall protection.

• Knowledge of terminology used in the in-building Distributed Antenna System industry.

• Comprehension of contract scope, requirements, project management, and integration processes.

• Dexterity in fingers and wrists, along with hand/eye coordination.

• Nice Level 1 certification.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.

• Valid driver's license.

• Reliable transportation.

• Must be willing and able to travel regionally up to 60% of the time.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; employer work permit sponsorship is not available.

• Advanced experience in DAS installations is necessary.
