This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Assist in the planning and execution of analysis, integration, and verification tasks.
• Diagnose test activities within laboratory or operational environments.
• Aid in failure data analysis, including root-cause investigation and corrective-action processes, utilizing advanced laboratory or field testing equipment.
• Conduct and compile thorough performance evaluations employing analysis tools such as MATLAB.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of findings in reports and briefings for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support for hardware testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and implement minor design modifications.
• Maintain engineering specifications, documentation, and engineering databases.
• Engage in engineering discussions and meetings involving Program, Systems Engineering, and the Chief Engineer.
• Resolve and coordinate technical solutions with Engineering teams.
• Participate in team meetings, interface teleconferences, and working group discussions.
• Support mockup hardware, manage sustainment/depot returns, and assist with repairs.
• After thorough on-the-job training, support RF Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Systems Integration & Test activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Anticipated graduation in May 2027 or August 2027.
• Academic or internship experience that includes practical testing of electronic equipment.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting technical problems involving electronics in an academic, internship, or hobby context.
• Proficiency in using standard commercial testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Experience with data analysis tools, particularly MATLAB.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Ansys HFSS, or Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a U.S. government security clearance.
• An existing DoD Top Secret security clearance is required starting from day one.
• Preferred proficiency in Windows or UNIX operating systems.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or VBA is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile Development Principles is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
• Prior internship experience is preferred.
• Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communication protocols is preferred.
• Exposure to reflector system design, antenna feed design, solid-state amplifier performance parameters, and high power tube amplifier technology is preferred.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and the collection of large data sets, including scripting or automation for data collection and analysis, is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred.
• Basic engineering skills and an interest in system development and functionality are preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic work environment is preferred.
