This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the comprehensive integration of the E-IDS System across data, layouts, network components, and facility workflows.
• Collect operational requirements directly from FAA facilities.
• Construct LDAs by aligning NDC fields with site-specific operational requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy of data, layout functionality, system interfaces, and interoperability.
• Implement configurations and support iterative enhancements across testing and operational environments.
• Record field mappings, layout choices, template structures, system functionalities, and configuration modifications.
• Facilitate system integration encompassing hardware setup, logistics coordination, software configuration, and transition activities.
• Analyze Interface Control Documents, engineering schematics, and technical baselines.
• Diagnose connectivity issues utilizing standard Cisco diagnostic commands.
• Integrate communication devices with enterprise networks.
• Assist in deployment and commissioning processes.
• Resolve common operational issues within Linux environments.
• Verify implementation packages prior to deployment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Articulate technical challenges to both engineering and management audiences.
• Examine and address technical issues in a methodical approach.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must possess the capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 14 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 16 years of experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in systems integration supporting complex, multi-vendor network, communications, infrastructure, and software environments.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in configuring and validating infrastructure from Cisco, Dell, and HPE/Aruba using vendor management interfaces.
• At least 3 years of experience in analyzing end-to-end system functionality, validating architecture, tracing data flows, and troubleshooting interface issues across integrated systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing Linux systems using command-line tools for system navigation, configuration verification, log analysis, file management, and basic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of the FAA National Airspace System (NAS), E-IDS, or other critical operational systems.
• Understanding of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operational workflows and time-sensitive information needs.
• Familiarity with Local Data Administration (LDA), National Data Configuration (NDC), and operational display configuration.
• Experience with interface configuration tools, layout editors, template management, and page builders.
• Understanding of relational databases, schemas, data normalization, and data relationships.
• Experience troubleshooting operational data synchronization and interface discrepancies.
• Knowledge of human factors engineering and usability principles for operational displays.
• Experience in supporting multi-site deployments, site readiness evaluations, and commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes, configuration management, and change control.
• Must reside within the contiguous United States.
• Must be willing to travel 50-90% of the time to CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.
