System and Data Integration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the comprehensive E-IDS System Integration encompassing data, layouts, network components, and facility workflows.

• Collect operational requirements directly from FAA facilities.

• Create LDAs by aligning NDC fields with specific operational requirements of the sites.

• Ensure the accuracy of data, functionality of layouts, system interfaces, and interoperability.

• Implement configurations and facilitate iterative improvements in both test and operational settings.

• Record field mappings, layout choices, template designs, system functionalities, and configuration modifications.

• Aid in system integration involving hardware setup, logistics management, software configuration, and transition activities.

• Analyze Interface Control Documents, engineering schematics, and technical baselines.

• Diagnose connectivity problems utilizing standard Cisco diagnostic commands.

• Integrate communication devices with enterprise networks.

• Assist with deployment and commissioning efforts.

• Resolve common Linux operational challenges.

• Confirm implementation packages prior to deployment.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Convey technical challenges to engineering and management stakeholders.

• Systematically analyze and address technical issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Must possess the capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 14 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 16 years of experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in systems integration for intricate, multi-vendor network, communications, infrastructure, and software ecosystems.

• At least 2 years of experience in configuring and validating Cisco, Dell, and HPE/Aruba infrastructure through vendor management interfaces.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in analyzing end-to-end system performance, validating architecture, tracing data flows, and resolving interface issues among integrated systems.

• At least 2 years of experience managing Linux systems using command-line tools for navigation, configuration verification, log analysis, file management, and basic troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of the FAA National Airspace System (NAS), E-IDS, or other critical operational systems.

• Familiarity with Air Traffic Control (ATC) operational workflows and the urgent information requirements involved.

• Understanding of Local Data Administration (LDA), National Data Configuration (NDC), and operational display setups.

• Experience with interface configuration tools, layout editors, template management, and page builders.

• Proficient in relational databases, schemas, data normalization, and data interrelationships.

• Experience in troubleshooting operational data synchronization issues and inconsistencies in interfaces.

• Knowledge of human factors engineering and usability principles pertinent to operational displays.

• Experience in supporting multi-site deployments, site readiness evaluations, and commissioning processes.

• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle methodologies, configuration management, and change control procedures.
