System Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Russia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assess the current system to identify business rules, dependencies, and constraints.

• Create comprehensive technical requirements and specifications for functionality migration.

• Establish and coordinate integration contracts, including REST APIs, JSON schemas, and event contracts.

• Model and illustrate business processes and data flows utilizing BPMN and UML diagrams.

• Design data migration mappings, transformations, and migration strategies.

• Break down technical initiatives into development tasks; create User Stories and Use Cases while defining acceptance criteria.

• Conduct risk and bottleneck analysis for the target architecture.

• Assist development teams during delivery by responding to inquiries and engaging in backlog grooming and sprint planning.

• Collaborate with related teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical decisions.

• Keep documentation updated in the Confluence knowledge base.

• Engage in complex incident investigations and root cause analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in banking, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.

• Over 5 years of experience as a System Analyst, ideally in integrations or product development.

• Profound knowledge of REST API principles (HTTP methods, status codes, headers, idempotency, versioning).

• Practical experience with API testing and documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman).

• SQL proficiency: ability to construct complex queries using JOINs and window functions; understanding of PostgreSQL database structures.

• Capability to produce clear and organized diagrams using BPMN and UML.

• Strong skills in technical documentation (requirements, specifications, technical descriptions).

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Understanding of microservices architecture and service interaction patterns.

• Experience with legacy systems and data migration processes.

• Background in participating in architecture reviews and influencing technical decisions.

• Knowledge of CQRS and Event Sourcing patterns.

• Experience with GraphQL.

• Proficient in English to read and comprehend technical documentation.
