System Administrator – IT Security & Endpoint Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist the user support team in overcoming technical challenges.

• Work in collaboration with designated contacts for digital security and data protection.

• Actively participate in incident response efforts.

• Aid in the post-incident analysis of security breaches and enact risk mitigation strategies, particularly in situations involving phishing, malware, and zero-day vulnerabilities.

• Assist with risk assessments and implement measures to reduce risks.

• Develop and uphold information security policies, processes, and documentation.

• Evaluate both new and existing applications against IT security and compliance standards.

• Facilitate the integration of applications into the mobile device management system and manage them collaboratively.

• Support the launch of new internal services.

• Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee existing internal systems such as IAM, mailboxes, and mailing lists.

• Acquire and configure notebooks, tablets, mobile devices, and software.

• Assist users with everyday hardware and software challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, with 3–5 years of pertinent professional experience in the described area, or an equivalent qualification.

• Initial experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).

• Proficient in SIEM and IAM systems.

• Capable of implementing automatable processes using Python, shell scripting, or low-code tools.

• Excellent knowledge of macOS.

• Experience in managing Windows and Linux environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with mobile device management systems such as JAMF.

• Solution-oriented mindset with an empathetic approach to work.

• Willingness to take responsibility, demonstrating a strong awareness of data protection and data security.

• Experience working with NGOs or in political engagement, with the ability to provide a reference who can validate this involvement.
