Software Engineer, IT Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop the technical framework that enables IT Risk Management to respond to risks at machine speed.

• Utilize Circuit My Agent and its sub-agents to transform security exposure, lifecycle and technical debt, SOX compliance, resilience, identity and AI security, GRC, and portfolio ownership signals into real-time risk insights and actionable outcomes.

• Design, construct, and manage workflows for Circuit My Agent and its sub-agents.

• Detect signals, assess exposure, prioritize risks based on business impact, and deliver real-time insights.

• Integrate ServiceNow, ESP, CMDB, AppSec, vulnerability tools, SOX evidence, resilience tests, and audit or MAP actions into reliable risk intelligence.

• Establish rules, guardrails, and automated controls to identify drift or unsafe changes across systems, models, data, and dependencies.

• Conduct human reviews for exceptions.

• Evaluate resilience, control effectiveness, and AI lifecycle safeguards prior to disruptions and as systems evolve.

• Leverage telemetry and evidence to pinpoint gaps.

• Create closed-loop workflows that monitor actions, confirm risk reduction, and incorporate lessons learned back into design.

• Collaborate with the Risk Lead, domain owners, Security Primes, PSAs, and engineers to operationalize the capability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience in developing production applications, integrations, or automation solutions.

• An AI-first mindset with a proven ability to experiment with new models, developer tools, and agentic workflows.

• Familiarity with current model capabilities and the challenges posed to established workflows.

• Proficient in building APIs, event-driven services, or automated workflows using Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or a similar programming language.

• Experience in integrating signals or telemetry from various enterprise systems into risk intelligence, alerts, dashboards, or operational reports.

• Knowledge of source control, CI/CD, and automated testing for production services.

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Preferred: Practical experience applying AI models, agents, or sub-agents to enhance engineering productivity, quality, or risk mitigation.

• Preferred: Background in IT risk, security, compliance, resilience, or control data, including SOX evidence, vulnerabilities, CMDB, ServiceNow, or GRC platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing rules, telemetry, automated controls, or resilience and control-effectiveness assessments.

• Preferred: Experience in designing dashboards or metrics for real-time risk insights, signal-to-action intervals, verified closures, automation coverage, or repeat risk reduction.

• Strong communication skills and active listening ability.

• Capacity to identify obstacles early and ensure reliable outcomes.

• Ability to influence peers through effective networking.
