This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the management of technical infrastructure, which includes hardware, software, and components from cloud service providers.
• Lead the implementation and design services for various organizational areas and clientele.
• Establish connections among IT platforms, infrastructure elements, end users, system software, hardware, and communication networks.
• Recognize technology interactions and dependencies that exist across systems and platforms.
• Investigate and analyze issues, determine root causes, and ensure prompt resolution.
• Create and deploy system monitoring and performance enhancement solutions.
• Develop, implement, and uphold backup strategies to guarantee data integrity and accessibility.
• Document system configurations, establish baseline systems, and test or modify IT infrastructure as needed.
• Conduct research and assess new solutions to determine appropriate actions for technical initiatives.
• Escalate incidents and organize resources to address issues in alignment with Service Level Agreement metrics.
• Assist in Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations exercises, testing, and real-life incidents.
• Uphold security and integrity controls.
• Prepare technical documentation, training resources, standards, and reports.
• Assess and recommend Windows- or appliance-based hardware and software purchases.
• Analyze total cost of ownership and return on investment concerning IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree with five or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Required to have identification that complies with the Real ID Act at the time of hire.
• Must be able to secure a Department of Energy PIV badge.
• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience with Identity Management products such as Entra ID, OKTA, and Ping Identity.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy Management, and Identity Management.
• Understanding of the AZURE ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with other industry-standard software and databases.
• Must be able to travel by vehicle or aircraft and operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and heavier items occasionally.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with minimal supervision.
• Skilled in communicating technical information and product strategies to all levels of staff and management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, spelling, editing, and proofreading.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
• Competence in analyzing documents and technical information accurately while maintaining precise records.
