This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Develop the commercial middle market portfolio.
• Acquire and finalize new, profitable business opportunities.
• Grow the in-market team in accordance with the strategic growth plan.
• Direct new business development efforts, including lead generation and relationship management.
• Identify and approach potential commercial clients for loans, deposits, and treasury management services.
• Structure and negotiate terms and conditions to onboard valuable assets.
• Review and analyze financial statements and information.
• Build and sustain positive relationships to ensure client retention and foster future growth.
• Promote other bank products and services through cross-selling.
• Engage in community activities and networking while representing the bank.
• Work collaboratively with credit partners to monitor and proactively manage the loan portfolio, including handling delinquencies, loan reviews, renewals, and coordinating with the Special Assets team when necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with 10+ years in a related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Capability to independently negotiate complex credit structures and finalize large transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial banking and treasury products and services.
• Completion of formal credit training is required.
• Familiarity with Capital Markets, including Loan Syndications and Debt Capital Markets.
• Strong skills in prospecting and the ability to develop new relationships and referral sources.
• Proven ability to bring an established local client base.
• Experience in building and nurturing internal and external partnerships and centers of influence.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed regional and bank loan production and performance targets.
• Strong analytical abilities to review, analyze, and assess complex financial information.
• Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn and utilize Customers Bank applications.
• Willingness to incorporate AI, as needed, to improve job performance and efficiency.
