This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Ultimus client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, contract renewals, profitability, communication regarding business changes, revenue growth, and opportunities for cross-sales.
• Comprehend clients’ future product strategies and determine how Ultimus can deliver appropriate solutions.
• Propel revenue and client expansion in collaboration with the Business Development and Product teams.
• Cultivate strategic alliances with key industry influencers and organizations.
• Occasionally act as a subject-matter expert during business development discussions.
• Align service teams with client expectations and collaborate with senior management peers to achieve company P&L objectives.
• Supervise Relationship Management associates, fostering their professional and personal development.
• Engage in fund board activities and nurture board-level relationships where relevant.
• Address issues and formulate solutions in partnership with department and executive management teams.
• Travel as necessary for client meetings, conferences, COI meetings, and firm-related gatherings.
• Review meeting materials and minutes to ensure accuracy.
• Organize educational opportunities for board members.
• Recruit, train, develop, assign, evaluate, coach, counsel, and manage corrective actions for department associates.
• Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings while setting team and individual objectives.
• Act as a liaison with board chairs and lead independent directors.
• Attend Tier 1 and, when applicable, Tier 2 client board meetings.
• Facilitate regular visits and conference calls with client executives.
• Mentor associates and promote internal collaboration with department management and service teams.
• Manage client accounts and action plans focused on satisfaction, communication, service requirements, renewals, profitability, and product cross-sales.
• Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, financial services, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Background in 40 Act products, asset management, asset servicing, business strategy, and/or product strategy development.
• 7–10 years of experience in management and leadership roles.
• Equivalent educational qualifications and experience may be considered.
• Understanding of client relationship management principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, executives, and senior management.
• Capability to develop and implement client action plans and execute organizational projects.
• Strong financial judgment and business acumen.
• Ability to inspire, develop, and train teams effectively.
• Skills in planning, delegation, multitasking, analysis, organization, strategy, and critical thinking.
