📋 Description

• Take ownership of and implement the product roadmap for the Core Banking sector.

• Establish the vision for a state-of-the-art, configurable, multi-tenant core banking engine.

• Prioritize team tasks based on business objectives, client requirements, and platform strategy.

• Represent the domain in executive planning, discussions with clients, and updates for the board.

• Propel commercial results related to domain reliability and capability.

• Recruit, nurture, and manage the performance of Builders within the Core Banking domain.

• Set clear expectations for AI-first execution, specification quality, and delivery speed.

• Mentor Builders on ledger integrity, posting models, and regulatory limitations.

• Act as Nymbus’s leading subject matter expert on core banking.

• Guide account hierarchies, sub-ledgers, posting models, batch processing, settlements, product configurations, integrations, data integrity, auditability, and loan servicing.

• Demonstrate AI-first practices utilizing Kiro, Claude, and specification-driven development.

• Collaborate with Domain Owners, Architects, Shippers, Architecture, UX, QA, Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.

• Manage contracts between Core Banking and consuming domains.

• Ensure that team outputs align with quality and speed standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in technical product management.

• Required experience in banking processes and products.

• Background in product or Fintech organizations is essential.

• Active, hands-on experience in AI-assisted product design and development workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools for specifications, iterations, and problem-solving.

• Commitment to modeling AI-first practices across the entire domain.

• Comfort with operating in a specification-first, AI-native development methodology.

• 8+ years of experience in product, engineering, or technical leadership roles within core banking or financial services infrastructure.

• Extensive hands-on experience with core banking platforms, including deposits, lending, or both.

• Expert-level knowledge of ledger structures, posting models, and double-entry accounting as applied in banking systems.

• Familiarity with loan servicing systems, covering lifecycle management, payment applications, accrual, and exception handling.

• Understanding of batch processing, settlements, and end-of-day reconciliation on an operational level.

• Experience with multi-tenant core banking platforms that serve various financial institutions.

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting core operations: Reg D, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg Z, TILA, RESPA, and BSA/AML.

• Experience navigating trade-offs between configurability, correctness, and performance in core systems.

• Experience in managing and developing product builders, engineers, or technical product managers.

• Proven track record of creating high-performing teams that deliver working software in high-stakes, correctness-critical environments.

• Ability to operate simultaneously at both strategic and tactical levels.

• Experience making priority trade-offs amidst competing demands with incomplete information.

• Comfort with direct accountability for commercial outcomes linked to platform reliability and capability.

• Strong comprehension of database design, transaction processing, and distributed systems.

• Deep knowledge of ledger architecture, ACID compliance, and data consistency patterns.

• Capability to engage thoroughly in technical design discussions regarding posting engines, batch processing, and integration contracts.

• Familiarity with modern development workflows, CI/CD, and deployment practices for mission-critical systems.

• Understanding of performance engineering for high-volume transaction processing.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
