SVP, Global Manufacturing, Supply

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Supervise BioCryst’s clinical and commercial manufacturing, supply and distribution, as well as logistics/import/export, and the Rapivab® commercial business.

• Develop and lead the organization responsible for clinical and commercial manufacturing, supply, and distribution.

• Ensure seamless supply of clinical and commercial products while adhering to forecast and budget constraints.

• Strategically direct MSAT initiatives, encompassing technology transfers, process optimizations, process validations, and providing technical support for external manufacturing.

• Plan and execute procurement, inventory management, production-material planning, quality control, distribution, and logistics operations.

• Offer strategic oversight for raw materials, API/drug product, and primary/secondary packaging processes.

• Lead the Sales & Operations process for all commercial products, ensuring acceptable inventory levels are maintained.

• Collaborate with Procurement on materials, services, CMO/3PL agreements, supply-chain services, laboratory/testing services, and distribution contracts.

• Assume responsibility for global manufacturing, supply, and distribution risk management.

• Work in partnership with Finance, Clinical Operations, R&D, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams.

• Oversee the Rapivab® commercial business, which includes US and Australian sales, API sales to strategic partners, and US stockpile agreements.

• Provide technical leadership and decision-making for critical manufacturing, supply, and distribution challenges.

• Assist with launch planning and regional commercialization/distribution following regulatory approval.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with over 15 years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in an executive supply chain management role within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Proven experience managing supply chains for clinical and commercial products on a global scale.

• Demonstrated expertise in supporting solid oral dosage forms, biologics, and sterile injectable products, including vials, pre-filled syringes, and drug-device combination products such as auto-injectors.

• Capability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with vendors.

• Ability to support cross-functional teams within a fast-paced, expanding organization and influence executive management decisions.

• Exceptional project management, verbal and written communication, strategic thinking, and process-improvement abilities.

• Competence in managing multiple priorities, advancing projects, and achieving program deliverables and milestones.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
