Sustainability Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with extensive and intricate sustainability datasets to facilitate the creation and upkeep of Worldly’s impact content.

• Perform content quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for sustainability metrics, calculations, and associated content.

• Revise and sustain complex assessment-defining files in accordance with stakeholder requirements.

• Oversee analytical content that governs customer data exports.

• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by tracing outputs back to the source data and the foundational logic.

• Utilize SQL to query Worldly data for both internal and external customer requirements.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure data outputs meet platform requirements and customer expectations.

• Enhance automation, documentation, and internal comprehension of calculations, metrics, and data structures.

• Execute targeted research initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Data Science).

• Over 2 years of experience in an analytical, data-oriented, or consulting role.

• Strong expertise in SQL with a comfort level in working directly with raw data.

• Solid comprehension of sustainability principles, including environmental impact assessment or carbon accounting.

• Remarkable attention to detail and a keen interest in understanding data and calculations comprehensively.

• Ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and progress work with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and tenacity in addressing complex or unclear data challenges.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfort in collaborating cross-functionally and integrating feedback from various stakeholders.

• Proficiency with Claude/AI.

• Experience utilizing Python for data analysis or validation purposes.

• Comfort with developing non-production solutions to analytical and automation challenges.

• Background in statistics or quantitative analysis.

• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks or standards.

• Experience with customer-facing data products or platforms.

• Must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
