Survey Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collect field survey data utilizing GRS/Robotic equipment

• Execute ALTA Surveys

• Compute and define legal descriptions of property boundaries

• Operate surveying instruments and equipment for projects including topographic, ALTA, boundary, and construction

• Identify and define land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours

• Conduct work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

• Sit, type, manage office and/or field equipment, communicate verbally, and listen

• Occasionally stand, walk, maintain balance, kneel, or crouch

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred

• Previous experience with conducting ALTA Surveys is preferred

• Must be willing to travel within the United States, with expected travel of 1–2 weeks per trip

• Must be a resourceful self-starter

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Understanding of basic mathematics and land-surveying measurements, including linear, angular, elevations, and unit-system conversion

• Capability to perform physical tasks and operate tools and equipment outdoors in diverse climates

• High school diploma or GED required

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

• Specific vision capabilities, including close vision and the ability to focus
