Surplus Lines Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately submit surplus lines filings for designated states within specified timelines.

• Ensure timely processing of surplus lines tax returns for the assigned states before deadlines.

• Coordinate the payment of surplus lines taxes by their respective due dates.

• Maintain precise files on a shared drive.

• Collaborate with surplus lines stamping offices and state agencies to address any discrepancies.

• Work together with account teams to provide assistance and education.

• Reconcile reports and liaise with the accounting department.

• Utilize InsCipher for managing filings and reports.

• Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

• Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting surplus lines regulations and requirements.

• Skill in multitasking and prioritization.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent follow-up skills.

• Competence in navigating the internet.

• Previous experience with surplus lines is advantageous.

• A background in Property & Casualty Insurance is beneficial.

• Accounting experience is a plus.
