This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Arrange outpatient medical procedures for patients with the appropriate provider and designated time/location.
β’ Obtain pre-operative clearances from primary care physician offices.
β’ Submit bookings/orders to outpatient surgical centers.
β’ Provide patients with necessary surgical documentation, which includes consents, drop-off instructions, pre/post-operative guidelines, and financial responsibility details.
β’ Offer precise information related to test preparations, arrival times, and directions.
β’ Address patient inquiries and deliver pre-operative education while upholding confidentiality.
β’ Ensure a high standard of patient service and overall experience.
β’ Manage surgical schedules and meet company key performance indicators.
β’ Inform patients about their scheduled appointments.
β’ Verify insurance coverage and secure required authorizations.
β’ Prepare physician documentation for surgeries.
β’ Dispatch booking sheets, insurance details, prior authorizations, and clearances to surgical facilities.
β’ Respond to telephone inquiries from patients and primary care providers.
β’ Assist surgeons in developing and nurturing referral relationships.
β’ Organize office visits and lunches for local offices.
β’ Monitor referral trends and produce reports.
β’ Follow up with potential patients and referring providers.
β’ Collaborate with growth and operations teams on local initiatives.
β’ Serve as a liaison with local healthcare networks.
β’ Track patient inquiries, cancellations, and referral conversions for actionable insights.
β’ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
β’ 2-4 years of full-time experience in surgery scheduling.
β’ Willingness and capability to follow directions and prioritize tasks effectively.
β’ Must possess a proactive and positive attitude.
β’ Extensive knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement processes.
β’ Exceptional organizational and computer skills are required.
β’ Conversational understanding of medical terminology, acronyms, and techniques.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong analytical abilities.
β’ Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
β’ Preferred: 3 years of experience with eClinical Works RCM in patient account and denial management.
