This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of renewable energy resources, including preventive upkeep and repairs on solar, wind, and battery storage facilities.

• Prioritize safety and seek assistance when faced with unfamiliar tasks or when uncertain about safely executing a job.

• Efficiently and safely operate and maintain company assets and equipment.

• Conduct regular maintenance on wind, solar, and battery storage resources.

• Address unscheduled maintenance, diagnose outages, and replace both mechanical and electrical components.

• Serve as the Acting Site Manager during the absence of the designated Site Manager, as necessary.

• Install upgraded systems or equipment.

• Execute corrective measures identified for renewable assets.

• Diagnose condition monitoring systems (CBMs).

• Assist in-house Major Component Repair and Composite Repair teams.

• Provide additional support to third-party clients.

• Complete daily service records, timesheets, and other project or task-related documents.

• Undertake other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

• Be prepared to travel for extended durations to EDF power solutions projects.

• Work in a general rotation of five weeks on and one week off, depending on business requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

• Preferably 0–2 years of experience in the renewable energy field or a related area.

• A technical diploma, DEP, or certification in electromechanics, electricity, or wind turbine maintenance is preferred.

• Preferred experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, or similar tasks.

• Must successfully complete relevant technical and safety training for the entry-level support technician role.

• Basic proficiency in computer skills is required.

• Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Fluency in English and French is preferred.

• Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work at heights, including towers, nacelles, and hubs.

• Capacity to work in a mechanical setting.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

• Must be available for frequent travel, including international trips.

• Consistent good work habits, including punctuality and maintaining an organized work area, are essential.

• Employee weight must not exceed 285 lbs. due to fall-arrest equipment limitations.
