Supply Engineering Team Lead, US Market Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the Chief Technical Officer.

• Supervise a team of four Supply Engineers.

• Manage glass orders and ensure the availability of hardware and materials necessary for production launch.

• Strategize inventory levels and anticipate procurement needs.

• Analyze technical drawings and specifications to compile material lists.

• Confirm dimensions, finishes, and quality standards prior to order placement.

• Monitor engineering documentation and procurement modifications throughout project lifecycles.

• Ensure all procurement documentation and component orders are finalized before production and container arrivals.

• Identify, assess, and cultivate supplier relationships across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

• Negotiate costs, payment conditions, and delivery timelines.

• Oversee purchasing for production, warehouse, and installation operations.

• Evaluate supplier performance and address quality, logistics, and delivery challenges.

• Enhance procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and cost management.

• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Warehouse, and Installation teams.

• Assist with engineering modifications, material substitutions, and procurement planning.

• Provide procurement knowledge, material suggestions, and project pricing details.

• Ensure acquired materials comply with project specifications and technical documentation.

• Delegate tasks, prioritize workloads, and track project deadlines.

• Conduct individual meetings and offer coaching along with performance feedback.

• Review procurement documents, material lists, and purchase orders created by the team.

• Address complex sourcing issues and supplier escalations.

• Coordinate procurement activities across various departments.

• Drive ongoing improvement and streamline procurement processes.

• Report progress, risks, and operational updates to the Chief Technical Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer, Supply Engineer, or in a comparable engineering procurement role within the US market.

• Prior experience in people management or team leadership.

• Experience collaborating with suppliers in international markets, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

• Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and import/export of engineering or production materials.

• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF tools.

• Familiarity with task management systems such as ClickUp or similar.

• Fluent in English is essential.

• Fluency in Russian is an advantage.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
