This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, manage, and enhance SB Energy's supplier quality program for its data center portfolio.

• Set forth standards, specifications, procedures, workflows, templates, checklists, approval criteria, roles, and stage gates for essential supplier-provided equipment.

• Oversee supplier due diligence, qualification audits, capability assessments, and performance evaluations.

• Create supplier risk ratings and outline surveillance, audit, inspection, and testing requirements.

• Assess supplier quality plans, ITPs, production timelines, FAT procedures, inspection checklists, and quality submissions.

• Organize and supervise supplier audits, production surveillance, source inspections, factory acceptance testing, bench testing, controls testing, final inspections, and shipment release reviews.

• Confirm adherence to drawings, specifications, submittals, bills of material, procedures, test criteria, codes, and standards.

• Track supplier production progress and quality risks in relation to project milestones.

• Handle supplier nonconformances, deviations, concessions, waivers, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions.

• Formulate supplier quality scorecards and monitor defects, documentation, testing, shipping damage, and release performance.

• Align supplier quality activities with engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, commissioning, site operations, and contractors.

• Ensure all supplier records, inspection reports, FAT results, certifications, calibration records, deviations, nonconformance closures, warranties, and asset data are complete and properly maintained.

• Generate reports and dashboards for the Director of Quality and relevant stakeholders.

• Act as the primary interface for supplier quality with OEMs, suppliers, engineering firms, project teams, commissioning teams, and third-party inspection providers.

• Manage third-party inspectors, testing agencies, consultants, and supplier quality representatives.

• Create training, guidance, and coaching for project quality personnel.

• Advocate for safety and compliance during audits, inspections, testing, transportation, site receipt, and field support.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, supply chain, construction management, engineering technology, or a related technical field.

• At least 8 years of experience in supplier quality, QA/QC, engineering, construction, commissioning, or a related technical area.

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in supporting supplier quality, production surveillance, factory inspections, equipment testing, or quality management for complex engineered equipment.

• Familiarity with data centers, power infrastructure, utility, renewable energy, industrial, mission-critical, or technically complex projects is advantageous.

• Experience in conducting supplier audits and reviewing quality plans, ITPs, FAT procedures, nonconformance reports, root cause analyses, 8D reports, and corrective action plans.

• Proficient understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and modular or prefabricated equipment utilized in data center or power infrastructure projects.

• Capability to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring and control diagrams, P&IDs, shop drawings, bills of material, production procedures, and test reports.

• Familiarity with quality principles and standards/codes such as ISO 9001, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, UL, IEEE, ASME, AWS, NETA, and project-specific requirements.

• Experience managing third-party inspectors, testing agencies, consultants, or supplier quality representatives across multiple locations.

• Proficiency with digital quality, construction, document management, and asset management platforms; experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence suppliers and cross-functional teams.

• Capability to manage multiple equipment packages, suppliers, projects, and competing deadlines.

• Professional certifications such as ASQ CQE, ASQ CMQ/OE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CWI, NDT, Lean Six Sigma, NETA, PE, or PMP are preferred.

• Experience in developing a supplier quality program from inception is preferred.

• Background in supporting hyperscale or mission-critical data center equipment production and acceptance is preferred.
