This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee, coordinate, and strategize the activities of personnel within the coding program area.

• Direct, manage, and guide coding staff to ensure the timely, accurate, and comprehensive processing of services rendered.

• Recruit, train, and retain qualified employees.

• Manage and evaluate program performance concerning Revenue Cycle activities.

• Create policies and procedures to guarantee accurate billing for all services provided.

• Uphold coding staff integrity and performance through metric reporting.

• Enforce compliance, coding, and documentation standards.

• Enact teaching physician compliance guidelines and documentation standards related to CMS.

• Perform quarterly audits on staff performance to ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

• Provide monthly reports on coding practices, educational initiatives, audit results, metric performance parameters, and adjustments in staff/volume.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Mandatory).

• At least 5 years of relevant experience (Mandatory).

• A relevant certification from AHIMA or AAPC is required upon hire.

• Acceptable AHIMA certifications include CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, and CCA (candidates holding only CCA must secure CCS, RHIT, or RHIA within 12 months of hire).

• Acceptable AAPC certifications, excluding Scribe, Documentation, Instructor, International Credentials, CPB, RCMS, CVBA, CPPM, and CPCO.

• Proficiency in computer skills.

• Experience in medical records management.

• Familiarity with medical records systems.

• Reside within the Eastern Standard Time Zone.

• Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
