This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the daily operations and staffing for designated teams.
• Modify staff schedules and address any workflow discrepancies.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and retention of personnel.
• Manage personnel-related issues and set expectations for performance and workplace conduct.
• Provide coaching, constructive feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
• Organize training sessions, competency evaluations, and quality assessments.
• Respond to client inquiries and manage requests effectively.
• Track KPIs concerning patient access, productivity, satisfaction, and workflow efficiency.
• Implement corrective measures as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, privacy mandates, and organizational policies.
• Review medication authorizations and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Conduct benefits investigations and evaluate coverage and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Identify financial assistance options available to patients.
• Collaborate with clinics to gather documentation, submit prior authorizations, and assist with appeals for coverage denials.
• Communicate authorization decisions, financial assistance opportunities, and pharmacy access options to patients.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within client EMR systems and Visante tracking platforms.
• Assist with client onboarding, training, workflow enhancement, and ongoing process improvement.
• Collaborate with Visante leadership, clients, clinical teams, and interdepartmental groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An Associate Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers regarding medication access is required.
• State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA is preferred.
• Proven ability to exercise good judgment, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with urgency.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong client relationships.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• In-depth knowledge of medication reimbursement and healthcare prior authorization/coding processes.
• Proficient in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the capability to supervise a high-performing team.
