This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.
β’ Oversee the receipt, assessment, and settlement of the Medicare cost report, ensuring compliance with all CMS requirements.
β’ Conduct supervisory reviews of audit documentation to ensure adherence to CMS and other governmental auditing standards.
β’ Carry out supervisory evaluations of cost report acceptances and desk reviews to guarantee timeliness and compliance with CMS regulations.
β’ Plan, oversee, and budget team assignments; assess and communicate results.
β’ Execute supervisory reviews of settlement packages to confirm compliance with CMS standards.
β’ Enhance audit staff capabilities through on-the-job training and organized training sessions.
β’ Investigate issues and respond promptly to inquiries from providers and CMS.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
β’ 5 years of auditing or accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership position or equivalent military experience at grade E4 or higher.
β’ Understanding of cost accounting standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
β’ Familiarity with auditing standards and statistical sampling methods.
β’ Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
β’ Knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
β’ Ability to analyze financial data and determine its relevance.
β’ Capability to gather information by reviewing records and documents, as well as interviewing individuals.
β’ Excellent interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
β’ Capacity to maintain effective working relationships.
β’ Proficient in clear and effective communication, both oral and written.
β’ Ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.
β’ Skills in making presentations and applying critical thinking.
β’ Knowledge of provider reimbursement review board processes.
β’ Ability to interpret and implement changes in the Medicare program.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of Uniform Contractor Evaluation Program guidelines.

β’ Strong planning abilities coupled with sound decision-making skills.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
β’ Typical office setting; some travel between office locations and occasional out-of-town travel may be necessary.
