This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address everyday inquiries from clients and Release of Information Specialists (ROIS).
• Consistently achieve facility revenue targets.
• Identify and suggest enhancements for productivity.
• Execute release of information tasks in line with service agreements.
• Compile weekly dashboards and month-end operational performance reports.
• Monitor productivity and quality to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Support the training and evaluation of both onsite and remote ROIS personnel.
• Assist with the selection, interviewing, hiring, and termination processes for employees.
• Engage in counseling sessions and provide recommendations for disciplinary actions or terminations when required.
• Oversee onsite staff scheduling, manage time-off requests, and approve payroll.
• Aid remote supervisors in coordinating work activities.
• Allocate workflow to site staff.
• Uphold confidentiality of facility information.
• Contribute to the review and revision of site procedures.
• Conduct quality reviews and site evaluations.
• Assess release-of-information requests for compliance with relevant state or federal laws.
• Retrieve medical records, scan or electronically capture them, and select the relevant information for duplication.
• Reassemble paper charts for re-filing purposes.
• Log and document released information following facility protocols and company software.
• Calculate billing and prepare invoices as necessary.
• Certify copies of medical records when appropriate.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure that supplies are adequately stocked at designated facilities.
• Promptly submit travel expense reports and receipts.
• Adhere to and provide guidance on company policies.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to fulfill department and company requirements.
• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; some college education is preferred.
• RHIT Certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and management.
• Experience in medical records or healthcare is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA privacy information standards is essential.
• Coursework in medical terminology is preferred.
• RHIT certification or the ability to take and pass an ROI Certification course with a minimum score of 85% within 90 days is required.
