Supervising Psychiatrist, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop written supervisory guidelines with Total Life nurse practitioners, detailing scope of practice, consultation, referral, and prescribing parameters.

• Conduct regular meetings with each NP via video or phone to assess care and quality.

• Review a mutually agreed sample of each NP's documentation.

• Be accessible via phone or video for clinical consultations during NP practice hours, and coordinate alternate physician coverage when unavailable.

• Assist NPs in delivering longevity and psychiatric care through telehealth services.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree.

• Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida.

• No record of disciplinary actions.

• Comfortable providing support for telehealth practices with an older adult demographic.

• Current malpractice insurance that covers supervision.

• Experience in supervising NPs within a telehealth environment (preferred).

• Background in geriatric psychiatry or geriatric medicine (preferred).
