Supervising Physician – Dermatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Provide remote clinical oversight and supervision for Dermatology Physician Assistants in alignment with New York State regulations and organizational policies.

• Review, consult, and work collaboratively with PAs on patient care plans, treatment protocols, and clinical documentation.

• Be accessible for clinical consultation and guidance during specified business hours.

• Conduct regular chart reviews and ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.

• Support clinical best practices, initiatives for patient safety, and evidence-based dermatologic care.

• Engage in departmental meetings, provider education, and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.

• Assist in the onboarding, mentoring, and continuous development of Dermatology PAs.

• Collaborate with operational and clinical leadership to enhance workflows and patient outcomes.

• Ensure prompt completion of supervisory documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that aligns with Essen Health Care’s mission and values.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a recognized medical institution.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted New York State Medical License.

• DEA license and CDS registration, if applicable.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Dermatology is preferred.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities.

• Comfortable operating in a remote supervision model within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
