Summer Intern, Digital Signal/Imaging AI

📋 Description

• Collaborate with team members in the J&J Innovative Medicine R&D Data, Data Science, and AI division.

• Partner with essential business units within J&J Innovative Medicine to leverage advanced data science and analytics for addressing research inquiries.

• Tackle innovative challenges at the convergence of AI and healthcare.

• Work alongside data scientists and subject matter experts to develop and refine data science solutions.

• Process and analyze data obtained from wearable sensors and neuroimaging.

• Create machine learning models aimed at digital biomarker identification.

• Validate endpoints for digital health.

• Extract insights from real-world physiological and behavioral datasets.

• Model and forecast disease severity and progression.

• Identify subtypes of diseases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another related quantitative field.

• Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.

• Proficient in Python or R programming languages.

• Strong abilities in predictive modeling, statistics, and the analysis of extensive datasets.

• Excellent technical communication and presentation abilities.

• Fundamental knowledge of data cleaning and ensuring data quality.

• Experience with the processing and analysis of sensor data, wearable devices, clinical records, and/or medical imaging data is preferred.

• Familiarity with PyTorch is preferred.

• Experience in semi-supervised and/or self-supervised learning is preferred.

• Knowledge of Foundation Models is preferred.
