This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute specific and limited segments of broader tasks under the guidance of an experienced engineer.

• Collect and correlate fundamental engineering data utilizing established protocols.

• Complete detailed or routine engineering tasks that involve calculations and relatively straightforward tests.

• Suggest methods for addressing new challenges.

• Identify inconsistencies in results.

• Carry out work in alignment with agreed-upon budgets and timelines with moderate supervision.

• Design utility-scale physical substations within the power delivery sector.

• Attend in-person onboarding on Day 1 at an AECOM office location.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering along with 4 years of relevant experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Experience in high voltage substation design.

• EIT Certification.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.

• A professional engineering license or the capability to obtain one within two years of hire is preferred.

• Familiarity with construction practices and constructability is preferred.

• Experience in proposal writing and project estimating is preferred.

• Working knowledge of scheduling and project control processes is preferred.

• Understanding of substation industry and technology trends is preferred.

• Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and NEC codes and standards is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

• Ability to assess the quality of one’s own and others' work.

• Capability to apply sound engineering judgment.

• Ability to effectively manage time and workload.

• Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available.
