Substance Use Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions daily utilizing a structured, evidence-based curriculum.

• Facilitate group discussions employing approved modalities within the established clinical framework.

• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches to enhance member support.

• Monitor member progress and meticulously document outcomes.

• Foster a positive, recovery-focused environment for all members.

• Participate in local community outreach initiatives to promote the mission of the Groups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field.

• Necessary behavioral health licensure or certification, which may include LCSW, LPC, LMHC, MCAP, LMFT, or CAP.

• Willingness and capability to obtain licensure reciprocity in other states.

• At least two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder (SUD) setting.

• High proficiency with technology, including EMR systems, telehealth software, Google applications, and mobile apps.

• Availability to work 2–3 evenings per week until 9 PM as required.

• Compliance with Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse requirements.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

• Experience in multilingual or multicultural environments is considered an advantage.

• Background in mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, or medication-assisted treatment is preferred.
