Subdivision Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create 2D civil and subdivision drawings utilizing AutoCAD.

• Generate comprehensive design and drafting documentation for residential subdivision and land development initiatives.

• Analyze residential subdivision briefs and convert requirements into precise subdivision and lot layouts.

• Develop site plans, lot layouts, road alignments, utility layouts, and related civil drawings.

• Interpret engineering schematics, survey data, project specifications, and subdivision briefs.

• Assess project briefs, pinpoint gaps or unclear requirements, and seek clarification prior to drafting.

• Modify and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance of drawings with project standards, drafting conventions, Australian design requirements, and industry practices.

• Handle multiple drafting projects while adhering to quality standards and deadlines.

• Engage in team meetings to evaluate project progress and workload.

• Work autonomously while ensuring drafting precision and meeting project deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in residential subdivision drafting and land development design.

• Proficient in creating subdivision and civil infrastructure drawings.

• Experience in interpreting residential subdivision briefs and generating precise lot/subdivision layouts.

• Strong expertise in using AutoCAD.

• Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings, survey plans, design documentation, and project specifications.

• Preferably experienced in Australian residential subdivision projects.

• Knowledge of Australian subdivision practices, design requirements, and pertinent industry standards.

• Experience with 12d Model (12D) is a plus.

• Holds a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, Engineering Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Solid understanding of civil drafting principles, documentation for residential subdivisions, and land development.

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.

• Capable of independently interpreting a residential subdivision brief and accurately translating it into a subdivision/lot layout.

• Strong grasp of Australian residential subdivision practices and requirements.

• Ability to identify gaps, unclear, or conflicting information and proactively seek clarifications.

• High attention to detail and drafting accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Capacity to work independently while meeting project deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Effective collaboration skills within a remote project team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Skilled in PDF markup and document management software.

• Experience in preparing civil infrastructure drawings for roads, drainage, earthworks, and utility services.

• Familiarity with Australian land development standards and local council requirements.

• Experience in coordinating directly with Australian engineers, designers, surveyors, or project stakeholders.
