Subcontracts Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement subcontracting strategies that align with the objectives of the program and the organization.

• Oversee risks and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines.

• Lead negotiations to secure subcontract agreements with advantageous terms and conditions.

• Manage contracts throughout their entire lifecycle and ensure compliance with the established terms.

• Monitor and assess subcontractor performance using established metrics.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost requirements are met.

• Collaborate with teams in engineering, finance, and program management.

• Identify risks associated with subcontracting and implement strategies to mitigate them.

• Oversee multiple Government procurements that support various Government Programs.

• Explain, interpret, and communicate policies, procedures, and practices to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide support and guidance to fellow employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant subcontracts experience, OR a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related subcontracts experience, OR a minimum of 8 years of related subcontracts experience in place of a degree.

• Familiarity with supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.

• Proven experience in interpreting program management, engineering, and supplier demands in a dynamic environment with limited guidance.

• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.

• Experience managing supplier contracts exceeding TINA ($2M) with limited supervision.

• Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles.
