This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee advanced power system analysis within the renewable energy industry.
• Execute high-level system studies that support renewable energy initiatives.
• Manage TOV, TRV, AC interference, 5mA, insulation coordination, and EMF studies.
• Model and evaluate electrical phenomena utilizing specialized engineering software.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze results and propose solutions.
• Ensure technical precision and adherence to industry regulations.
• Guide junior engineers and engage in continuous improvement efforts.
• Create procedures for new study domains and assist in business development.
• Act as the technical lead, coordinating efforts with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
• Conduct technical evaluations and uphold quality control standards.
• Investigate new technologies and contribute to the enhancement of processes.
• Participate in client meetings, present technical details, and assist in proposal creation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent).
• Possess or be in the process of obtaining a PE or P.Eng. license, required.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years specifically related to power systems.
• Proficient in ETAP, Easypower, PSCAD, Polaris, CDEGS, ASPEN Line Constants, and TLW-GEN.
• Required experience in renewable energy projects.
• Must have the authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
• Preferred experience in performing electromagnetic transient (EMT) and switching transient studies, including lightning, switching events, converter-based resource interactions, and protection-related transients.
• Hands-on experience with transient modeling and analysis tools such as PSCAD or equivalent EMT tools (preferred).
• Experience supporting transient studies for renewable energy facilities is preferred.
• Ability to independently manage workload and complete assignments.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to perform under pressure.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate effective relationships with staff, management, clients, and external agencies.
• Relevant military experience will be considered.
