This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as the main point of contact for students, fostering the primary relationship with the school until they successfully complete their academic program.
β’ Act as an intermediary between students and the institution, focusing on academic success, progress, retention, and post-graduation planning.
β’ Counsel students on the skills necessary for success in online and virtual learning environments.
β’ Provide precise information regarding school policies, procedures, and best practices.
β’ Coordinate resources and offer guidance tailored to individual academic and personal/social needs.
β’ Actively communicate with students facing academic or attendance challenges and support corrective measures.
β’ Monitor student engagement, retention, academic progress, satisfaction, and graduation outcomes.
β’ Ensure that student service activities adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
β’ Develop academic planning initiatives that promote timely program completion and graduation.
β’ Reach out to students through both written and verbal communication regarding their academic status, program progress, and on-time graduation.
β’ Provide information about graduation candidacy to campus personnel and review student schedules for graduation eligibility.
β’ Lead retention initiatives by analyzing student data and engaging in proactive outreach.
β’ Contribute to the organization's best practices for proactive student engagement.
β’ Advise students on Financial Aid matters, including changes in enrollment status, financial options, and obligations.
β’ Develop and maintain remediation plans related to satisfactory academic progress.
β’ Direct retention efforts for newly-enrolled, continuing, and re-entry cohorts through daily activities and attendance-tracking analysis.
β’ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a related field such as Education, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.
β’ Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional and assessment models, methodologies, and software applications.
β’ Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, anticipate the consequences of proposed actions, recommend optimal options, and implement approved solutions to support corporate objectives.
β’ Ability to work independently without supervision.
β’ Exercise initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
β’ Communicate clearly and concisely, both in oral and written forms.
β’ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all clients encountered during work activities.
β’ Proficient in common office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications.
β’ Familiarity with educational software such as LMS, CRM, and CampusVue is strongly preferred.
β’ Skills in business letter writing and report preparation.
β’ Strong command of English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
β’ Previous experience in online/virtual learning environments as a student, teacher, or academic advisor.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of experience in online/virtual customer service, academic advising, student services, and/or high-risk account management.
β’ Ability to meet specified physical demands, including occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
β’ Capability to sit for extended periods at a desk while working on a computer.
