This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist both active and inactive students with the university's tuition procedures.
• Report directly to the Associate Director of Cash Collections.
• Deliver proactive customer support to students to enhance success and retention.
• Execute administrative tasks related to Student Accounts, including collections, payment plans, account adjustments, and data entry.
• Gather data and evaluate payment alternatives and associated services.
• Reconcile accounts pertaining to student eligibility.
• Address remaining out-of-pocket costs and offer solutions to fulfill tuition obligations.
• Ensure compliance with both internal and federal financial aid regulations.
• Communicate payment completion requirements to new, continuing, and inactive students.
• Provide guidance to students with high balances or overdue accounts.
• Reach out to students to recover outstanding balances.
• Utilize knowledge of Title IV funds, regulations, and eligibility criteria.
• Set up and organize payment plans for tuition, fees, room and board, lab charges, and other university expenses.
• Address customer service issues, concerns, and escalations in a timely manner.
• Perform data entry for Student Accounts, including comments in student records.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid, the Registrar’s Office, and other departments.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekend hours.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• One to two years of customer service experience is required.
• Strong computer skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and database software is necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities are required.
• A self-starter with the capability to multitask is important.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail are needed.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment is essential.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve results in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Direct equipment connection to a home router is required; wireless connections are not acceptable.
• Minimum internet specifications: 25 Mb download speed, 15 Mb upload speed, and latency below 40.
• A dedicated, quiet home workspace free from distractions is necessary.
• Option to work remotely.
• The position provides a 50-foot Ethernet cable.
• Tuesday through Saturday work schedule.
