Student Accounts Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Prepare and enter journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in NetSuite while adhering to tight deadlines for specific student-level transactions.

• Manage student payments in Salesforce and ensure accurate reconciliation of student balances and cash receipts between Salesforce and NetSuite.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, maintain precise account records, and escalate any unresolved issues.

• Assess refund requests to determine student eligibility and compliance with policies.

• Collaborate with Accounts Payable on the timing of refunds and payments to ensure accurate period recognition.

• Work alongside the Sr. Manager Revenue on refund analysis for the Executive Team.

• Provide customer support to Campus Operations, Enrollment Services, and Recruitment teams regarding account/payment status, inquiries, refund requests, and disputes.

• Assist in preparing for corporate audits and participate in other assigned projects.

• Enhance internal processes, systems, and procedures for improved efficiency.

• Adhere to Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures.

• Take responsibility for assigned Shorelight assets.

• Report any security events, incidents, or vulnerabilities to Shorelight Security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to overlap working hours with a US-based team, with at least 4 hours coinciding with US Eastern business hours.

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and communication capabilities.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.

• Customer service-oriented, with a proven ability to communicate courteously and promptly.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Completion of a background check covering education, criminal history, and identity verification.
