Structural Steel Detailer, Tekla Structures

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct site measurements on active and occupied locations.

• Create 3D models and complete shop drawing sets, encompassing general arrangements, assembly drawings, single-part drawings, DXF files, IFC models, and cutting lists.

• Analyze architectural, structural, and services drawings while identifying conflicts prior to fabrication.

• Generate Requests for Information, manage the RFI register, and follow up on pending responses.

• Review transport envelopes and highlight over-dimension assemblies.

• Oversee drawing registers, revisions, and issue logs in accordance with client title block standards.

• Distribute and track drawings through Procore and the systems of the head contractor.

• Communicate directly with engineers when necessary.

• Collaborate with the Fabrication Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Site Team Leaders regarding constructability, sequencing, and fitting.

• Assist site crews in addressing fit-up challenges and design conflicts during fabrication and erection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in structural steel detailing on completed projects.

• Proficient in a 3D structural detailing software; the client utilizes Tekla Structures, and adept detailers from other software will be considered with time allocated for conversion.

• Comprehensive knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes, including fit-up, weld access, bolt access, lifting points, and erection sequencing.

• Capable of interacting directly and confidently with engineers and project staff from the head contractor.

• Excellent attention to detail and the judgment to raise queries instead of making assumptions.

• Ability to meet fixed approval and fabrication deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.

• Conduct site measurements on active and occupied locations, including working in trading supermarkets, at heights, and occasionally during after-hours or night shifts.

• Experience with Tekla Structures is preferred.

• Familiarity with New Zealand codes and standards is desirable.

• Experience in seismic strengthening and remediation is a plus.

• Adherence to the client's health and safety regulations, especially while on site.
