This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Conduct forensic investigations related to structural failures and property damage.

• Assess roofing systems, foundation settlement, retaining walls, water intrusion, structural distress, and damage associated with sinkholes.

• Execute field inspections and evaluate the findings.

• Craft detailed engineering reports.

• Offer expert opinions and technical recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with insurance companies, attorneys, property owners, and consultants.

• Foster and build client relationships to enhance business growth.

• Engage in networking events, industry conferences, and marketing initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Structural Forensic Engineer.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; Tennessee PE is preferred.

• Additional state PE licenses are highly desirable.

• Significant experience in forensic engineering and investigations related to insurance.

• Strong skills in technical report writing, analysis, and communication.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Demonstrated client management and relationship-building skills.

• Experience in property and casualty insurance claim investigations is preferred.

• Background in structural damage assessments and failure analysis is preferred.

• Familiarity with roofing and building envelope evaluations is preferred.

• Experience in foundation settlement and retaining wall investigations is preferred.

• Experience with assessments related to water infiltration and moisture damage is preferred.

• Knowledge of sinkhole and geotechnical-related structural evaluations is preferred.

• Business development or seller-doer experience is preferred.
