Structural Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead structural design initiatives from initial conceptualization through to final design, ensuring that they align with project objectives and the requirements set forth by the project manager.

• Create structural specifications and data sheets for packaged equipment in accordance with the project's scope.

• Prepare and oversee Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), conduct technical bid evaluations, and formulate purchase recommendations.

• Review and assess structural vendor drawings to ensure adherence to project specifications.

• Facilitate the exchange of technical information among suppliers, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Collaborate with detailers and designers to ensure precise interpretation and implementation of structural designs.

• Perform quality assessments of production drawings across various projects to guarantee accuracy and compliance with established standards.

• Confirm and execute necessary corrections utilizing multiple CAD platforms, ensuring design integrity and uniformity.

• Mentor project teams throughout all stages of design and construction while adapting structural plans to fit budget constraints, design specifications, and client goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on structural design.

• At least 8 years of experience, preferably within a similar firm.

• Experience with EPC projects is an advantage.

• Capability to prepare structural calculation sheets, detailed construction drawings, and relevant AutoCAD files.

• Familiarity with markups and coordination using Bluebeam.

• Proficient in structural analysis and design software like RISA Foundation, RISA-3D, and SAP.

• Knowledge of geotechnical/structural software such as LPILE or equivalent.

• Understanding of structural design codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE7.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred, though not mandatory.
