This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Create comprehensive 3D structural models utilizing Revit and/or Cadwork.
• Model complete wood-framed and heavy timber building systems.
• Develop framing layouts for walls, floors, roofs, beams, posts, and timber systems.
• Convert architectural drawings and structural engineering specifications into coordinated, constructible structural models.
• Detect potential conflicts prior to fabrication or construction.
• Integrate engineering requirements, details, connections, and modifications into structural models.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and fabrication needs within the models.
• Assess work for accuracy, constructability, efficiency, and thoroughness.
• Generate detailed structural drawings, framing plans, details, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, cut sheets, component drawings, and material takeoffs.
• Create drawings for engineering and client evaluation.
• Produce precise information for prefabrication and field installation.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, project managers, fabrication teams, construction teams, general contractors, clients, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in identifying and addressing design conflicts, constructability issues, and missing information.
• Support the process from structural modeling through fabrication, delivery, and construction.
• Experienced Structural / BIM Designer.
• Strongly preferred: knowledge in wood framing or heavy timber construction.
• Proficient in reading architectural and structural construction documents.
• Understanding of building sequencing and constructability.
• Experience with 3D modeling, CAD, BIM, drafting, or detailing.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or Cadwork.
• Experience in producing construction documents, framing plans, or shop drawings.
• Strong computer skills.
• Proficient in Bluebeam.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
• Ability to visualize complex structures in three dimensions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Detail-oriented, inquisitive, technically inclined, construction-minded, and self-driven.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
