Structural Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design traditional reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete slabs, as well as steel structures and foundations for both residential and commercial projects.

• Create CAD structural drawings that encompass foundation plans, floor framing, reinforcing plans, and schedules for shear walls, columns, and beams.

• Collaborate directly with architects and general contractors.

• Address project conditions and resolve potential design conflicts prior to the commencement of construction.

• Analyze geotechnical soil reports for foundation design purposes.

• Perform wind pressure calculations in accordance with ASCE 7 standards.

• Deliver preliminary drawings and final updates within strict two-week turnaround timelines.

• Record processes into an integrated playbook to enhance workflow continuously.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant degree in a related field.

• EIT (Engineer in Training) or Professional Engineer certification is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficient and professional communication skills in English and/or Spanish.

• Capability to submit preliminary drawings and final updates within strict two-week turnaround timelines.

• Willingness to adapt to technical requirements and document processes into an integrated playbook.

• Strong AutoCAD skills are mandatory.

• Extensive knowledge of structural engineering software such as SAFE, ETABS, ENERCALC, or Visual Analysis.

• A dedicated, distraction-free home office setup is required.

• Ability to work full-time during EST business hours.
