Senior Software Engineer – Design Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.

📋 Description

• Construct and uphold components, patterns, and foundations such as tokens, typography, color schemes, and layout.

• Uphold exceptional standards for accessibility, performance, and meticulous craftsmanship.

• Lead initiatives that deliver new UI patterns addressing the challenges faced by product teams.

• Create a design system that is conducive for both AI and human use, leveraging technology to achieve impactful results.

• Enhance the prototyping experience within the design system.

• Influence the design function to rapidly prototype, iterate on products, and explore novel concepts.

• Elevate the craftsmanship and AI proficiency of team members through mentorship and the establishment of clear best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in frontend development.

• Extensive knowledge of React, TypeScript, and contemporary web technologies.

• Experience in building or maintaining a design system or a shared component library.

• Comprehensive understanding of modern frontend tooling, including build systems, CI/CD, and testing methodologies.

• High degree of autonomy and the ability to create clarity in uncertain situations.

• Systems thinking based on first principles, focusing on outcomes.

• Strong product sensibility and an instinct for maximizing leverage.

• Practical proficiency at the convergence of AI and software development.

• Capability to translate emerging AI concepts into tangible advantages for the design system and its users.
