Structural Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct mechanical design and perform static and dynamic structural analyses at the component, subsystem, and system levels for cutting-edge spacecraft applications.

• Offer design recommendations informed by analysis results and product manufacturability considerations.

• Create detailed test plans and assist in the execution of tests as well as the interpretation of data.

• Review, prepare, and issue precise, clear, and comprehensive technical documentation.

• Assess design or scope modifications and convey their implications on cost, schedule, and technical performance.

• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, manufacturing staff, vendors, colleagues, clients, and teams across multiple locations.

• Oversee project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective program implementation.

• Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates, addressing technical issues, and aligning on program objectives.

• Assist Sales and Marketing in obtaining new contracts, including proposal development and customer interactions.

• Contribute to the development of emerging thermal technologies and facilitate the transition of designs from concept to prototype and production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

• At least 5 years of engineering experience.

• Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR regulations.

• Strong grasp of engineering mechanics, including statics and material strength.

• Proficient in structural analysis software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or similar tools.

• Demonstrated capability to carry out static and dynamic structural analyses.

• Experience in test planning, support for test execution, and data analysis.

• Familiarity with composite materials is advantageous.

• Ability to articulate the entire engineering workflow from problem definition and analysis configuration to results presentation and interpretation in reports and presentations.
