This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize engineering mechanics and physics-based analysis techniques to assess system performance and inform design choices
• Conduct structural evaluations utilizing classical hand calculations, finite element analysis, and simulation methods
• Examine components and assemblies for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, fracture resistance, and overall structural integrity
• Assist in the development of requirements and ensure that designs meet customer, program, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to address technical challenges and enhance product performance
• Evaluate designs, analyses, and verification processes to offer independent technical assessments and suggestions
• Create technical reports, compliance documentation, and presentations to convey analysis findings and engineering justifications
• Aid in qualification, verification, and validation efforts throughout the product development lifecycle
• Contribute to the establishment of internal engineering standards, best practices, training resources, and process enhancements
• Take ownership of technical deliverables while advancing projects in a collaborative team setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
• 4–7 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering sectors
• Proficiency in applying structural mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, and physics-based modeling techniques
• Strong expertise in finite element analysis, structural simulation, and engineering verification methodologies
• Required experience with SolidWorks
• Familiarity with FEMAP, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, Python, and Microsoft Office
• Experience in requirements-driven environments with compliance, regulatory, and verification obligations
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and analytical and computational techniques
• Proven ownership, initiative, accountability, interpersonal, and communication abilities
• CATIA V5 experience is preferred
• Background in pressurized actuation systems, pneumatic mechanisms, ordnance systems, or similar hardware is preferred
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred; candidates from other regulated sectors will also be considered
