This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +1 more country.
• Oversee project management at both country and regional levels throughout Africa, ensuring accountability, cadence, and effective delivery of priorities.
• Integrate with local teams to assist in daily operations and resolve on-ground challenges.
• Spearhead cross-cutting initiatives that span various markets, including regulatory engagement, development of banking channels, and licensing efforts.
• Collaborate across country, regional, and global teams to harmonize strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
• Manage special projects and task forces as designated by Africa leadership, creating plans, driving tasks, and achieving results.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in Africa and convert insights into actionable intelligence and recommendations.
• Partner with Analytics, Finance, and Country teams to establish, monitor, and report on OKRs.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities early, providing clear recommendations.
• Build and sustain relationships with country General Managers, global function leaders, regulators, and external partners.
• Represent the Africa team in cross-functional forums.
• 8-10 years of progressive experience in startup operations, fintech, or financial institutions; experience in cryptocurrency is preferred.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, tackling ambiguous challenges and delivering structured results without extensive supervision.
• Demonstrated history of managing complex projects across various geographies and stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with external partners and regulators is a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities; comfortable working with data, OKRs, and transforming numbers into compelling narratives.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills; capable of engaging country leadership, global executives, and external counterparts with equal credibility.
• Hands-on, execution-focused, and predisposed to taking initiative.
