Strategy Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support the Marketing Strategy team in creating and communicating business strategies and operational priorities.

• Analyze complex business challenges and apply thorough analysis to assess alternatives.

• Perform structured analyses utilizing internal data, stakeholder feedback, and market intelligence.

• Use financial benchmarking and scenario modeling to provide forward-looking scenarios to leadership.

• Create and deliver impactful written and verbal communications tailored for senior audiences.

• Act as a thought partner in team problem-solving and knowledge generation initiatives.

• Keep track of competitor activities, market trends, and industry benchmarks.

• Gain insight into departmental and enterprise-level strategies to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

• Build trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and connect ideas across the organization.

• Identify emerging topics that anticipate leadership needs and foster forward-thinking dialogue.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in a strategy role with a track record of supporting multiple stakeholders.

• Proven experience in independently leading analyses or workstreams that informed senior-level decisions.

• Management consulting or corporate strategy background preferred.

• Previous exposure to the insurance industry is a significant advantage.

• Capability to distill clear insights from complex information and convert them into actionable recommendations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to utilize diverse information sources to triangulate insights and formulate strategic implications.

• Understanding of financial drivers within the business.

• Competence to function in dynamic environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Skill in balancing big-picture thinking while breaking initiatives into manageable components.

• Proficiency in managing time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines.

• Self-motivated individual who identifies opportunities and takes initiative.

• Ability to leverage informal networks to gather diverse perspectives and influence enterprise direction.
