Analyst, Strategy & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical issues that can be addressed through data, prototypes, discussions, and mock-ups.

• Identify and integrate essential datasets to reveal actionable insights.

• Develop expertise in data systems and structures spanning operational, financial, accounting, customer management, and digital platform applications.

• Conduct analyses across diverse data sources utilizing various analytical tools and methodologies.

• Craft targeted analytics and narratives for senior leadership.

• Implement rapid-cycle hypothesis testing and proofs of concept.

• Assist in building and scaling new tools, processes, and methods of operation.

• Engage in strategic projects aimed at enhancing business understanding and operational efficiency.

• Establish data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.

• Leverage data to guide strategy, assess performance, and expedite progress towards organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in analytics, data science, finance, management consulting, or a similar analytical role where data-driven analysis was key to success.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Experience in utilizing data to uncover advanced business and customer insights.

• Proven ability to create engaging presentations tailored for senior leaders.

• Intellectual curiosity and the ability to navigate ambiguity and unfamiliar areas.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects and balance competing priorities.

• Strong time management capabilities.

• Team-oriented with a commitment to high standards and integrity.

• Interest in K-12 public education.

• Understanding of how data can facilitate change from leadership to the classroom.

• Working knowledge of the complete data analytics pipeline, including data gathering, ETL, automation, engineering, databases and storage, cleaning and reshaping, analysis, and visualization.

• Familiarity with data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.

• Experience working with data from CRM and ERP systems.

• Background in consulting, transformation, or project-based environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field.

• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
