This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Increase market visibility and generate interest among executives in the products at colleges and universities.
• Introduce institutions to initial offerings while articulating the vision for future opportunities.
• Identify and secure Early Adopter opportunities across North America through prospecting, industry engagement, referrals, and professional networks.
• Develop and sustain relationships with senior academic, technology, administrative, and faculty leaders.
• Create and implement strategic territory and account plans.
• Manage intricate sales opportunities from initial discovery to contracting and customer transition.
• Work collaboratively with product, marketing, customer success, and executive leadership teams.
• Represent Clarivate at conferences, industry events, and executive forums.
• Effectively manage forecasting and sales activities within the CRM.
• Provide customer and market insights to influence product strategy, commercialization efforts, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Assist in developing repeatable sales processes, messaging, and best practices for the expanding business.
• Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology sales.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in higher education institutions.
• Established network of leaders and decision-makers in higher education.
• Experience in selling complex learning technologies, academic software, learning platforms, or other strategic higher education technologies.
• Proven experience in developing and executing territory and account plans.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.
• Familiarity with navigating university procurement, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales, contracting, budgeting, governance, and committee review processes.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States.
• Experience in launching or scaling new products, business units, or market categories.
• Ability to create executive alignment for opportunities lacking established budgets or purchasing processes.
• Knowledge of trends affecting higher education, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Learning Technology, academic innovation, Faculty Development, and Student Success.
