This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop market awareness and engage executives regarding our products within colleges and universities.
• Present institutions with entry-point offerings while articulating the vision for future opportunities.
• Identify and secure Early Adopter opportunities across North America through prospecting, industry engagement, referrals, and professional networks.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior leaders in academia, technology, administration, and faculty.
• Create and implement strategic territory and account plans.
• Manage intricate sales opportunities from initial discovery to contracting and customer transition.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, customer success, and executive leadership teams.
• Represent Clarivate at conferences, industry events, and executive forums.
• Oversee forecasting and sales activities within the CRM system.
• Offer customer and market insights to inform product strategy, commercialization efforts, and go-to-market initiatives.
• Aid in developing repeatable sales processes, messaging, and best practices for the expanding business.
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable mix of education and relevant work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or technology sales.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in higher education institutions.
• Established connections with higher education leaders and decision-makers.
• Experience in selling complex learning technologies, academic software, learning platforms, or other strategic technology solutions for higher education.
• Proven experience in developing and executing territory and account plans.
• A track record of meeting or surpassing annual sales quotas.
• Familiarity with navigating university procurement processes, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales, contracting, budgeting, governance, and committee review procedures.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States.
• Experience in launching or expanding new products, business units, or market categories.
• Ability to create executive alignment for opportunities without existing budgets or purchasing processes.
• Awareness of trends influencing higher education, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Learning Technology, academic innovation, Faculty Development, and Student Success.
