Strategic Finance Special Projects Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of high-impact, ambiguous projects from start to finish, including opportunity sizing, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and executive recommendations.

• Create and sustain complex forecasting and scenario models to inform pricing, monetization, resourcing, and investment allocation decisions.

• Convert financial analysis into narratives, dashboards, and KPI scorecards suitable for executive review.

• Establish business metrics and uncover insights and frameworks that enhance performance.

• Collaborate on high-priority Strategic Finance initiatives covering Consolidation, Operating Costs, Commercial, and Marketing Finance.

• Report directly to the VP of Strategic Finance and work alongside Strategic Finance and key business partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a focus on commercial partnerships or deals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets, including multi-scenario and sensitivity analyses for complex, multi-year agreements.

• Demonstrated ability to manage the finance workstream end-to-end for intricate commercial agreements.

• Experience collaborating with Sales/Business Development and Legal to structure and negotiate contract terms.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and unit economics.

• Capability to develop and reconcile partner- and portfolio-level P&Ls and assess cash flow impacts.

• Proficient in articulating complex analyses and recommendations to senior executives clearly.

• An MBA or a relevant advanced degree is preferred.

• Experience in marketplace, consumer internet, retail, or B2B SaaS business models is preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL and knowledge of BI tools and AI workflows is preferred.

• Experience in establishing pricing frameworks, rate cards, and scalable deal desk processes is preferred.

• Understanding of revenue recognition and partnership accounting is preferred.

• Proven ability to manage a dynamic pipeline with multiple concurrent deals and cross-functional stakeholders is preferred.
