Senior Finance Manager, Commissions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of commission payments for brokers and technology partners.

• Supervise commission calculations, payment systems, and the management of broker relationships.

• Guarantee the precision and promptness of commission payments.

• Create and sustain commission calculation systems.

• Address broker inquiries and resolve any payment-related issues.

• Keep track of payment accuracy and perform reconciliations.

• Preserve documentation related to commission agreements.

• Work in collaboration with the Sales, Finance, and Technology teams.

• Execute process enhancements to improve efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience.

• Proven experience in managing commission payment processes or possessing F&A responsibilities.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Familiarity with Python programming.

• Capability to develop and implement methodologies for commission calculations.

• Experience with broker compensation agreements and contract terms, or a strong ability to learn independently.

• Background in process improvement and automation initiatives.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication skills for effective interactions with brokers.

• Knowledge of commission payment platforms and systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of broker compensation structures and payment systems, particularly for voluntary benefits such as Group Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity.

• Experience in managing broker inquiries and resolving payment disputes.

• Awareness of broker of record (BOR) changes and their implications.

• Experience in operations or financial processing.

• Familiarity with insurance regulatory standards.

• Proven record of collaborating with sales teams and understanding sales compensation frameworks.

• Proficient in commission management systems and financial software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
